St Xavier's College Library

 

The St Xavier’s College Library was established in 1964 together with the establishment of the college. The library runs in a spacious building in the Arnos Padre Block with a carpet space of 7093 sq. ft. and a seating capacity to house 250 students. The Library provides print and electronic resources for all academic and related activities of the students and staff. The library has a collection of 28,524 books and 54 journals/magazines. Over 193 Educational CDs on different subjects are available for student’s  use. The library is fully automated with LIBSOFT software  and OPAC facility. Well furnished fully automated college library is under the INFLIBNET project. INFLIBNET provides user id and pass word to users of the library. It facilitates to gather information from e-journals, e-books and other information which supports research activities. . The library has a plan to initiate an Institutional Repository by digitalizing rare books and college publications.
